5Works as good as any rental
By Nick
The lift came in just a few pieces and was a piece of cake to assemble... It is as good of quality as any of the rentals I've used. Yes, you can use it to hang drywall on completely vertical walls. It's a little tricky... but not too bad... you just angle it as far as it will go and set the drywall on the arm hook doo-dabbers (whatever they're called)... and then get as close to the wall as you can and tip the top edge over so that it leans against the wall while you crank it up into place. It sure beats the alternative of lifting it myself while having the wife put a couple screws in...

2Eazy Lifter pro good for one time use.
By W. Hancock
The price for this tool is "ok" for what you get, but be warned, it is a typical Chinese made product suitable for a one time home use. I used it to drywall a 2 car Garage. Problems I found included poor welding on the lift handle support making it difficult to lift 4x8 sheets of 5/8 fire code drywall and 4x12 1/2 inch sheets. The lift cable came off the lift pulley at an inopportune time. The extension arms could use additional stop points. Welding the lift arm support better and heavier steel construction of the crank assy would help. I would prefer a stronger designed lift, but it did get the job done on the cheap.

4It is a very simple question...
By Luister
Can you finish the job in a day or two? Then rent a lift. Will it take days or weeks to complete your projects. Then buy this lift. Either way, use a lift. It is by far, the best way to get drywall onto a ceiling.

The Pentagon Tools lift is made in China. Mine has a bit of a left lean to it, but it is welded together quite well. These lifts have give to them; they are meant to wiggle, spin, and tilt, so that the sheet can be finagled into place. Because of this, they seem rickety, and yes, a bit frightening to stand under at first. The higher the ceiling, the more it moves around. I never lost a sheet of drywall, though there were a few struggles to get them up.

The more you use it, and adapt to it, the happier you will become. Your back will love it.
